SILICONCORE TO LAUNCH THE NEXT WAVE IN LED MANUFACTURE WITH LISA (LED IN SILICON ARRAY) PLATFORM AT NAB 2017
LED display manufacturer SiliconCore will showcase its new LISA (LED In Silicon Array) technology platform and an innovative Anti Moire filter to the broadcast industry for the first time at NAB 2017. The manufacturer’s range of ultra fine pixel pitch LED displays will also be on show on Stand C3743 from the 22nd – 27th of April at the Las Vegas Convention Center.
LISA (LED In Silicon Array) is the latest innovation from SiliconCore, once again pushing the envelope in fine pixel pitch LED displays. A radical departure from how LED displays are traditionally manufactured, LISA positions SiliconCore as the first LED display creator in history to successfully implement Chip On Board (COB) manufacturing. Combined with SiliconCore’s award winning Common Cathode technology, LISA provides a more robust, rigid and durable design along with improvements in the display quality. The first prototype using the LISA platform in a 1.9mm pixel pitch display will be showcased at the NAB Show, and is expected to begin manufacture in June.
SiliconCore’s new Anti Moiré filter can be applied to any of the manufacturer’s LED displays to totally eliminate moiré patterns, ensuring that during live interviews presenters in the studio and those on screen have the same true to life color match, as well as enhancing contrast and black levels in the picture. Moiré patterns are an industry wide problem when using LED in a broadcast environment, complicated by intricate shots and compromised camera angles. SiliconCore’s innovative filter removes this concern, providing new levels of freedom and creativity in the process.
Other pixel pitches on display at the show include the Peony 2.6 and Lavender 1.9mm, as well as our Magnolia 1.5mm in 4K at the Rhode and Schwarz booth.
Eric Li, CEO of SiliconCore, explains:
“Thanks to the LISA manufacturing process our engineers can operate in precise levels of detail while ensuring the pixels cannot be damaged during installation or throughout the product lifetime. We believe this to be the future of LED display manufacturing and wholly expect it to replace the industry norm of Surface-Mounted-Device in the near future.”
“Our Anti Moire filter is a broadcaster’s dream; it removes the age old moiré problem and grants them the freedom to truly utilise LED displays both on set and on screen.”
