SiliconCore showcases waterproof display at WEST 2023

Leading LED display innovator and Phase2 AFWERX awardee SiliconCore Technology will showcase its recently launched 1.2mm Outdoor LED Display at WEST 2023 at Booth 922.

This first of its kind innovation is the highest resolution of any outdoor display and is designed to deliver a sustainable and durable replacement to outdoor LCD, presenting new possibilities for outdoor applications and close proximity viewing. Fully waterproof IP65 PCB’s enable the 1.2mm Outdoor Display to shine at a sustained brightness of 4000 nits, needed for outdoor high density displays, as well as being able to operate in outdoor conditions.

This has been made possible by SiliconCore’s proprietary and patented Common Cathode and LISA technology, combined with a fully modular design and custom sub-frame that allows for displays to be created in any formation, breaking free from conventional display ratios for greater scalability. This allows specialty integrators and military customers greater flexibility in customizing an outdoor display solution.

SiliconCore’s patented Common Cathode Technology regulates the heat density concerns that enable this high resolution 1.2mm pixel pitch to thrive in outdoor applications. This low operating temperature is exclusively achievable through SiliconCore’s driver technology. A single 72” display at maximum brightness with video content averages 500w, about half the industry average, and has a much longer operating life of two - five times more than LCD.

SiliconCore’s durable encapsulation LISA technology protects the individual LEDs from damage which further extends the products lifetime at no compromise to brightness, color reproduction or image quality.

The modular approach for building the 1.2mm Outdoor LED Display allows for content density and makes it easier to service in the field when compared to LCD alternatives, ensuring resolution, reliability and easy repairability.

This new product marks a new era of LED design for SiliconCore, who celebrates 25 years in business in 2023. The company has become synonymous with industry firsts and for pushing the envelope in fine pixel pitch LED display.

Attendees to WEST 2023 will also be able to experience SiliconCore’s Lotus 0.83mm indoor LED display, the return of the highest resolution floor display, and its  Lavender 1.2mm indoor LED display in Full HD resolution at Booth 922.
