SILICONCORE'S CAMELLIA 0.95MM LED DISPLAY AWARDED BEST OF SHOW AT ISE 2016

At its public debut the stunning Camellia 0.95mm pixel pitch LED display was presented with its first accolade, an ISE 2016 Best of Show Award from Installation Magazine.

The display is SiliconCore’s smallest pixel pitch LED display to date, ideal for applications which require extremely close proximity viewing. The Camellia achieves 4K resolution at just 165” diagonal and has a minimum viewing distance of less than one meter. The contrast ratio and gray-scale properties are unrivalled allowing for a truly show-stopping experience at their ISE booth.

This advancement in pixel pitch was enabled by SiliconCore’s Common Cathode driver technology, resulting in lower power consumption and reducing the heat output of displays, thereby removing the need for additional cooling and extending the life of the display beyond 100,000 hours.

The display is powered by SiliconCore’s patented 8080 driver chip which features a high speed pixel clock to ensure outstanding performance without compromise. This chip set maintains the same 2000NITs brightness, 2000hz refresh and 16-bit grey scale specifications of the Lavender 1.2mm and Magnolia 1.50mm products. This is the highest performance driver chip in the industry with double the scan rate and a fourfold increase in processing speed, reducing the number of chips required per
display by 75%.

These factors combine to enable SiliconCore to lead the industry in total cost of ownership.

Steve Scorse, VP of EMEA for SiliconCore explains:

“Winning the Best of Show Award is a true testament to the beauty and advancements in LED
display technology that the Camellia 0.95mm offers viewers. At 0.95mm even the smallest details
are visible, so large data sets or stunning visual content is able to be rendered to the highest degree
of precision. The reaction from the industry at ISE was phenomenal and we believe this product will
really advance the applications for LED within the corporate, command and control, visualization and
financial sectors.”
