SILICONCORE EXPANDS THE VIEW OF LED AT DSE 2016

SiliconCore is inviting attendees to Digital Signage Expo 2016 to experience its range of ultra fine pixel pitch LED displays that present new options for close proximity and direct view digital signage applications. In striking HD resolutions, the Lavender 1.2mm and Orchid 1.9mm pixel pitch display products will be featured in RP Visual Solutions booth #1227. The Magnolia 1.5mm 720P configuration will be on display at booth #1142.

Eric Li, CEO of SiliconCore comments:

“The digital signage industry is going through an exciting transition, with fine pixel pitch LED displays allowing full HD resolutions to be achieved in just 110” diagonal display size or less. Today our smallest pixel pitch available is 0.95mm, achieving full 4K resolution at just 165” diagonal, and we expect the pixel pitch to continue shrinking as we bring new technologies to the market over the next few years.”

The incredible advances that the direct view LED platform has made can be experienced at the show, with the Lavender 1.2mm presented in Full HD at just 110” with a minimum recommended viewing distance of one meter. This advance in image quality is combined with true seamlessness and increased flexibility, scaling to any size or shape.

These advancements in pixel pitch and image processing are enabled by SiliconCore’s Common Cathode technology. This unique and patented method reduces the power consumption of LED displays by up to 40% for lower heat generation, a longer lifespan of over 100,000 hours and an industry leading total cost of ownership. SiliconCore is also focused on behind the scenes developments of its Common Cathode LED driver chip technology, with the latest advances significantly increasing the data bandwidth while reducing component count and cost.

SiliconCore is amongst the first to achieve Front Service Access (FSA) on ultra fine pixel pitch displays, from 1.2mm to 5.2mm. The FSA technology eliminates rear access requirements, greatly simplifying the installation and service process for the LED display. It also reduces the weight of the display and the total display depth, which can now be under 8” (200mm).
